About the event

This workshop is a collaboration between the eco residents at Crate ‘Greener Habits Co’ and Sarah Harper, founder of ‘Happy By Harper’. Greener Habits is a zero waste shop, helping to make this corner of Walthamstow a bit greener and more sustainable. Happy by Harper is a small creative business in Walthamstow focused on positive mental health and making homeware to make people happy.

During this 90 minute workshop, we'll be using air dry clay to create 2-3 of your very own pottery pieces! And as a Halloween special, pumpkins will certainly be one of the options!

We'll use a range of techniques including pinching, coiling and rolling to create items of your choice, which could include a tea light holder, pen pot, jewellery stand, or mini pumpkins. Sarah will explain how air-dry clay differs from traditional pottery clay, and give some tips and tricks for anyone wanting to continue using clay at home. All workshop materials will be provided.

Treat yourself to an afternoon of creating and self-care, or buy as a gift for a loved one. Adults and children are welcome, but children need their own ticket and should be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. The minimum suggested age for children to take part is 7. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

All your need to bring is some tupperware or a box to carry your pieces home in. They'll remain soft and fragile until a few days after the workshop!
